Energy consumption has a large environmental impact today and this is a major challenge for survival of the planet. In this course we are examining the technology of energy production with focus on the renewable energy sources and their environmental impact. Together with measures of energy efficiency, energy conversation and careful management of the natural resources are the essential factors to limit the climate change. We will also explore the relationship of sustainability between developing and developed countries as well as international cooperation to solve global warming and other environment issues.
