The course package is aimed for those who intend to learn the planning and development of wind power projects. The expansion rate of 20 to 30% per year in wind power development means a great need for competent staff in wind power field.
In the course you will learn how to calculate the wind energy productions at a specific location and the role of wind power in the whole given energy system. You will also learn the basics knowledge of how does a wind turbine work as a unit and also as one part in large wind parks, both on-shore and off-shore wind projects will be referred. Planning for wind energy in national, regional and municipal scales are included. In the final course, WP Project Development, you will make a feasibility study of a wind power project.
The Course Package also offers four optional course gathering meetings. Each course gathering meeting will be in 2-4 days and will be carried out either on Gotland Island or other places on the mainland Sweden.
The courses Wind Power Basic, Energy and Sustainability, Wind Power Planning, Wind Power Technology, Wind Power Energy, Wind Power Offshore, Small scale energy systems and Wind Power Project Development are included in the course package.
