Visit the excavation site in the summer of 2003!
The excavation in Fröjel is an exciting site for anyone who is interested in archaeology and history. If you go on a guided tour you will get an insight into the fieldwork of the archaeologists and how they can create an image of the life of the Vikings from the traces they find in the soil. During the summer of 2003 there will be an exhibition in the old school about the Iron Age in Fröjel. As a visitor you can also enjoy a coffee in the beautiful garden with a view over the sea. You can also buy a picnic basket, rent a bike and go on an excursion in the surroundings. The exhibition and café is located in the old school building west of Fröjel church. The guided tour starts from the entrance of the same. Follow road 140 towards the south. Pass Klintehamn and turn to the right towards Burgsvik. Fröjel church and the excavation area is approximately 5 km further south along this road.
