Reports from the 1999 year's excavation at Fröjel The excavation at the Viking harbour at Fröjel is part of the research project "Fröjel Discovery Programme" that is to be carried out over several years aimed to intensifying knowledge of the Viking harbours and trade. Last year's, 1998, excavation began the 4th of May and continued over the summer until the 15th of August. The excavation was summarised in weekly reports. Right now, we have started the 1999 years excavations. During the excavation, which will go on until the beginning of August, I will have short reports on our failure and successes. I invite you all to join us in our effort to learn more about the Viking History of the island of Gotland, Sweden. You are more than welcome to ask questions and make comments as to how our excavations develop.
